HB 2732 HD1    RELATING TO COURT REPORTERS            CPN, JDC
               Prohibits private court reporters from giving
               gifts to their clients.  (HB2732 HD1)  (SAIKI

HB 1934 HD2    RELATING TO OPTOMETRY                       CPN
(Sim. to SB3041)  Authorizes the Joint Formulary Advisory Committee
               to recommend the formulary for topical therapeutic
               pharmaceutical agents. (HB1934 HD1)  (MENOR (BR))

HB 1970 HD2    RELATING TO PREPAID TELEPHONE CALLING SERVICE  CPN
(Sim. to SB 2276) Specifies that the sale of prepaid telephone
               calling services (services) is subject to the
               general excise tax (GET) at the point of sale.
               Clarifies that such services are subject to the
               GET rather than the public service company tax.

HB 1982        RELATING TO UNIFORM DISCLAIMER OF      CPN, JDC
(Sim. to SB 2296) PROPERTY INTERESTS ACT                         
               Adopts Uniform Disclaimer of Property Interests

HB 2463 HD1    RELATING TO ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED    CPN
(SB 2804)         NURSES                                         
               Requires applicants for advanced practice
               registered nurse (APRN) recognition to have an
               unencumbered APRN recognition or similar

 
               designation in all other states in which the nurse
               has a current and active recognition as an APRN.

HB 2464 HD1    RELATING TO THE DUTIES OF THE BOARD OF NURSING CPN
(SB 2805)         Enables the Board to: consult and confer with
               persons with expertise on various issues;
               communicate with national organizations with
               information that would promote consumer safety and
               welfare; administer the nursing exams; contract
               with a professional test vendor; and develop rules
               relating to telehealth.  (HB2464 HD1)  (SAY (BR))

HB 2485 HD1    RELATING TO EXEMPTIONS FOR PSYCHOLOGIST     CPN
(SB 2826)         LICENSURE
               Clarifies that licenses from other professions are
               able to perform "psychotherapy" if the service is
               within the scope of practice defined in the
               professions' laws or rules. (HB2485 HD1)  (SAY

HB 2486 HD1    RELATING TO CHIROPRACTIC LICENSURE          CPN
(SB 2827)         REQUIREMENTS
               Revises licensure and examination process for
               chiropractors.  (HB2486 HD1)  (SAY (BR))

HB 2488 HD1    RELATING TO RETURN OF PRESCRIPTION DRUGS    CPN
(SB 2829)         Allows institutional facilities or supervised
               living groups to return prescription drugs
               previously dispensed or distributed by a
               pharmacist to be redispensed or redistributed by
               the pharmacist. (HB2488 HD1)  (SAY (BR))

Persons wishing to testify should submit 25 copies, 3-hole punched, of their
testimony to the committee clerk, Room 202, State Capitol, 24 hours prior to
the hearing. Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to
the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free
for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing,
please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time
of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services to
participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language interpreter,
wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for the disabled), please
contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior to the hearing so arrangements
can be made.


 
Public Folder.  A folder labeled "Public Folder" containing the measures and
testimonies for the hearing will be available for shared use by members of
the public.
